About Us
This all started out of a backpack. That's right. In between classes, selling bootleg t-shirts before home football games to raise money to run for Student Body President, Jared Loftus was setting up the beginnings of the Saints District.
This was all unknown at the time, though. His plans were to enter politics after college and make a change in the world through public service. During Fall Break in 2003, however, when Jared and two friends stopped over at a university on a roadtrip to see one of the biggest rivalries in college football - the Notre Dame vs USC game, those plans changed. They visited a store right off of the campus that had all kinds of merchandise, but in particular, various shirts in multiple colors and designs that were all being sold for one price.
Right there, running numbers in his head, and realizing a collegiate store was something he may want to pursue, the idea was born - collegiate merchandise with creative, original designs.
That was the idea. Several people - business owners, professors, family and friends - said it would never work. No experience and no money were the biggest cited reasons for not pursuing it. Jared couldn't shake the idea, though. So at the ripe old age of 22, he set off to figure out how it could be done. Several bumps, bruises, cuts (with stitches) and trips to the hospital later, it is a reality.
